Visual Diary - Israel

Visual Diary - Israel

This summer I took a trip to a country that I never thought that I would visit. Israel. A country, which seems to always have a headline where people live their daily, lives in an unavoidably complex situation. A place of passion and politics, one thing that is extremely noticeable is that the Israeli’s have a great love affair with food.

The great melange of cultures of people who emigrated to Israel truly comes together and represents itself in their food. From middle eastern inspired dishes to food from the Mediterranean this melting pot of flavours is something that left a delicious taste in my mouth.

Food has always been a part of my life, my family is inspired daily by what we eat and we always without fail, cook from scratch. The ideas and notions that are shared when people come together over a good meal is always a joy. The sights, smells, sounds, and tastes of Israel is something that will remain with me longer than the memories of the places that I saw.
