London Independent Photography 28th Annual Exhibition
15th - 20th November 2016, Espacio Gallery, London
We had the pleasure of attending the private view for London Independent Photography's 28th Annual Exhibition. LIP is a community organisation for amateur and professional photographers whose activities aim to bring together photographers with different interests and level of expertise to develop their personal approach to photography, improve their skills and gain recognition for their work.
We found the variety of photographic styles refreshing and were blown away by the quality of the exhibition. Espacio Gallery on Bethnal Green Road is a beautiful airy space on two floors and it was fantastic meeting the photographers and guests at the busy private view.
It was fantastic to see Mandy Williams work up close as we have worked with her on F&A in the past. Her series 'Unseen Landscapes' was one of the highlights of the exhibition for us.
We loved this intriguing work by Joerg Karrenbauer. It really stood out to us with the grainy effect and high contrast, a really striking image.
Olivia was particularly taken with these beautiful prints capturing natural forms made in sand by the water.
Both Olivia and I love photographs of windows. There's something in the mundane that is truly beautiful.
And finally, these hypnotic images by Natalie Robinson, we went back multiple times to look at these, so pleasing to the eye and peaceful.
Head to Espacio Gallery and see the show for yourself and find out more about LIP on their website. www.londonphotography.org.uk
Thank you to Alec Leggat, Exhibitions Organiser, for the lovely chat!
